My first college internship was at a Large Insurance Provider & Advisor in Texas with Ajay. He gave me the opportunity to a learn new skills and prove them in a professional environment right away.
When Ajay trained me, he gave me a thorough and nuanced understanding of database concepts and the proper ways to utilize languages like SQL. During this internship, he was an advisor to myself and another intern Davis during a Data ETL project. Prior to the project, Davis and I both had minimal knowledge of MS SQL Server, and databases in general, but through Ajay's guidance we were able to gain all of the relevant skills necessary to complete our project thoroughly and quickly.
Apart from the direct technical knowledge he taught us, he also gave us a lot of insight into business in general, and the role that data analytics has in relation to the company and the customer.
I highly recommend working for Ajay, as my experience with him has been highly fruitful. He opened my eyes to a whole industry of careers I am interested in, and even if I don’t end up working in a directly related field like data analytics, the experience I have gained from this project will be relevant for any career I undertake!
