Dung "June" Pham
Data Analyst Intern
Client: Austin Regional Clinic (ARC)
Among other talented candidates, Ajay chose to give me the opportunity to work and help our client, ARC in producing the important Supplemental Files every month. On the first day of this internship, I came to work with zero working experience, and all I had was the technical knowledge that I learned from school. Then, with the help of the two other interns, we worked hard to create a brand-new data architecture that supported our client in maintaining and updating data. We found and debugged all the missing data as well as programming errors in SQL Server. We also created stored procedures and functions that automated all repetitive processes. All products that we produced over the summer were mapped by a Help table, which served as a directory for our clients in programming and testing purposes.
My experiences today, both technical skill and soft skill, are mostly learned from the AAG internship. Ajay trained us to become a detail-oriented person with his strict way of formatting the code. He would never mind answering my conceptual and technical questions during my work at AAG. Besides that, working with other co-workers at ARC gave me a better understanding about how the health care industry works and what could be improved. Overall, it was a great summer experience for me to work with the excellent AAG team.
